This is an instant, quick and easy cake recipe which gives a delicious, moist and a eggless cake.  Let us premix to make a homemade cake and it is easy to make and also tastes super delicious. However if you want to prepare a cake, you must have all the necessary components used to prepare a homemade cake.  If you have cake premix you can make the cake in no time. Cake premix is readily available in the market now a days or also you can buy them online.  You can use premix of your choice basically there are Chocolate Premix, Vanilla Premix and red velvet premix are available easily in the market. While purchasing whipping cream I personally go for the tropolite or sunwhip company products. These are the best ones which I used till now to make a homemade cake.

What is cake premix?

Cake premix is a mix that contains all of the elements needed to make a cake except the oil and egg. Cake premix is mostly used to make homemade cakes and it is really super easy to make.

Ingredients used to bake a cake:

Following are the ingredients to make homemade cake.

  • 1 + ¼ cup Vanilla premix powder. 
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ½ cup water
  • Sugar syrup
  • Whipping cream
  • Decorative tools or items

Steps To Bake A Homemade Cake In Kadai.

  • First lets prepare a cake base using premix.
  • Add the premix in a bowl ( you can choose any of the flavour )
  • Now put oil and water to the bowl and mix it well to remove bubbles from the batter.
  • Keep Kadai/Cooker/Pan on low flame. Preheat it for 5 min add salt at the bottom.
  • Grease cake tin with oil and dust with maida. Keep butter paper at the bottom of tin.
  • Now pour the cake batter into the mould/tin and tap the mould to remove air bubbles from the batter.
  • Place a stand over the salt and keep the mould in the preheated Kadai.
  • Now bake it for 30-40 minutes by closing the lid on Kadai.
  • After 30 minutes check with the help of toothpick whether the cake is baked completely or not, if not cook until it’s done.
  • If the toothpick comes out smoothly then the cake is all done.
  • Tadaa..! homemade cake base is ready now, let it cool for sometimes.
  • Once it’s cooled down loosen the cake edges from the tin and transfer to the plate.


           After mixing all the ingredients check for the batter, it should look fluffy but thick, and smooth in consistency.  It should not be runny or watery. Also, when you taste cake batter, it tastes sweeter than what you want, as baking does remove a lot of the sweetness as the water evaporates.

Layering of the cake:

  • Now cut the cake base in 2-3 layers and spread sugar syrup on each base and also the whipping cream over it.
  • Keep the cake base layers on one top of the other.
  • Next spread whipping cream all over the cake and spread evenly.
  • Now you can use any decorative items of your choice and decorate your own homemade cake by your own ideas.

How to make sugar syrup?

To make sugar syrup you need to add 1 cup of water + ½ cup of powdered sugar and mix them together well.

How to make whipping cream?

Take some amount of the whipping cream from the packet and pour in a bowl now you need to use the beater to make it. Beat or whisk it until it is light and fluffy and holds its shape.
